What's the State of the Pro-Life Movement in Rhode Island?

In Season 1, Episode 13, Jessica provides a legislative update of the abortion related bills being considered by the RI Senate's Judiciary Committee. Below is each bill's number along with summary and link to the bills so that you can read them for yourself.

S669 “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act”

This is pro-life bill was sponsored by Senator Jessica de la Cruz. The consensus among doctors and specialists is that babies at the 20 weeks mark feel pain. This would protect a child at this point from being aborted.

S645 “Yearly Inspections of Health Care Facilities”

This is pro-life bill was sponsored by Senator Jessica de la Cruz. In 2019, Jessica discovered that Planned Parenthood had not had any annual health inspections for the last 10 years. This is unacceptable considering the invasive medical procedures and chemicals that are routinely used in their abortion procedures.

S664 “Infant Born-Alive Act”

This is pro-life bill was sponsored by Senator Elaine Morgan. This act would protect any baby born alive, whether wanted or unwanted.

S267 "Equality in Abortion Coverage"

This abortion bill was sponsored by Senator Valverde. It would expand taxpayer funded abortions in our state by including abortions for state employees as well as for all those on medicaid in Rhode Island.
